While I was in San Francisco I visited the Contemporary Jewish Museum and fell in love with the Beyond Belief exhibition, which I guess could be described as religious art. Kind of. Anyway, a lot of the art there - installations, paintings, prints, photos - was really amazing but this one stuck out to me the most and I went back to see it a few times. It’s ORACLE, by Helen Lundeberg, who passed away in 1999. I knew nothing of her prior to this exhibition but I was so taken by this that I’m determined to seek out more of her work. It’s so rad.
